A step-by-step guide from sign-up to getting the most out of OptiFlow.
Step 1: Create your account
Go to Sign in and create an account with your email and a password. You can start a free trial with no card required. Once signed in, you’ll land on your dashboard.
Step 2: Tour the dashboard
The dashboard is your home base. At the top you’ll see the month selector and actions like Add Bill / Transaction and Customize. The main area shows widgets: summary cards (saved, budget, spending), payday countdown, savings goals, spending chart, and more. Use the sidebar to jump to specific sections (Transactions, Bills & Calendar, Settings, etc.).
Step 3: Add your first transaction or bill
Click Add Bill / Transaction in the top bar (or open the Bills & Transactions section). Enter the amount, category, date, and optional note. For recurring bills, tick “Repeat bill” and set the frequency. Your data is saved automatically and appears in the dashboard and reports.
Step 4: Set up budgets
The summary cards show budget-related metrics (e.g. monthly budget, spent, remaining). You can edit these cards to set your own limits. Open Customize to show or hide sections and reorder them. Lock the layout when you’re happy so cards don’t move by accident.
Step 5: Use the calendar and bills
Go to Bills & Calendar in the sidebar to see upcoming bills and a calendar view. Add bills with due dates so you never miss a payment. The payday countdown widget helps you plan until your next income.
Step 6: Track spending and goals
Use the Spending Chart and Category Breakdown to see where your money goes. Set savings goals and track progress. The Financial Health score and insights give you a quick view of how you’re doing.
Step 7: Adjust settings
Open Settings to set your display currency, theme (dark/light), notifications, and security (e.g. two-factor authentication). You can also manage recent logins and log out other sessions from there.
